Linnea (she/her) is an award-winning multidisciplinary artist, director, choreographer and performer. Raised in Victoria BC, Canada, Linnea earned a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Interdisciplinary Studies from Simon Fraser University (Vancouver BC) and a Bachelor of Fine Arts, awarded with distinction, from Concordia University (Montréal QC) where she majored in Contemporary Dance. She has studied with artists such as Michael Montanaro, k.g .Guttman, Ken Roy, Ginelle Chagnon, Nelson Henricks, Isabelle Poirier and Rob Kitsos.

Linnea has performed and presented work both across Canada and internationally in venues such as Kunstkraftwerk (Leipzig, Germany), The Cultch (Vancouver, BC), Phi Centre (Montreal, QC), TANGENTE (Montreal, QC) & Metro Studio Theatre (Victoria, BC). Her research focuses on daily ritual, embodied memory, personal archives, the mundane, connections to past and physical bodily experiences. Utilizing the relationships developed between the choreographic themes of subject, time and space, she examines the impacts that people, places and events have on individuals throughout their lives and the traces that remain.  

Additionally, Linnea has worked as a producer, arts administrator, teaching & research assistant, movement coach, dramaturge, curator and stage-manager. She is the director, and co-producer of the award-winning show AWKWARD HUG, written and performed by Cory Thibert with dramaturgy by TJ Dawe. With Cory, she is also the co-artistic director of O Albatross.

Of Polish and British ancestry, Linnea is currently based in Victoria BC the traditional territories of the Lekwungen People, who are now known as the Esquimalt and Songhees Nations. She is a mom to two young children.
